在那个无知而又骄傲的年代，我把自己的不称职全部归咎于社会的不公，气急败坏地进行着我的报复。在我的课堂上，那些脏兮兮的小脸蛋或者破旧的衣衫，都会引起我心中莫名的烦躁。凭什么那些有背景的同学就能够面对整齐干净、家道富有的学生?凭什么他们能留在省城而我却被遗弃在穷山沟?这些偏激的想法如同一粒粒邪恶的种子，在我年青高傲的心中扎了根，导致自己最终收获的是无比苦涩的果子……
回想过去，心仍会痛，脑海中总是会浮现出那个寒冷的冬天午后，那双无辜的眼睛。
那是放寒假前的一天。我走到教室门口的时候，班里面闹哄哄的，旺盛地保持着即将被解放的快乐气氛。
我此行的目的是寻找几副传说中的扑克。从办公室到教室的距离有二十米左右，一路上我都在想着怎么样狠狠地惩罚那些顽劣的学生，怎么掀倒那临时拼凑起来的`牌桌……
推开门，教室里立刻鸦雀无声。没有牌桌，我居然有些失望。不甘心地观察，突然，我发现一个孩子有些异样，缩在角落拼命地低下头，瘦小的身体紧抵着桌子，好像在极力地掩饰什么。这个学生本来挺活泼，常常听见他在教室里大笑大闹，像个小猴子样地鬼灵精怪。不过最近他好像换了个人似的，整天萎靡不振，干事拖拖拉拉，看人的眼神也躲躲闪闪，心事重重。现在他那副欲盖弥彰的样子，更是让人来气。我冷笑着走到他的面前。
没有发现作案工具，倒是找到了一幅卷得挺整齐的赠画，这种玩意在当时很流行，上面有诸如“友谊万岁”、“海阔天空万里征”、“美梦成真”等字样，很能煽情。缴获的那幅上面有怎样的题词早忘了，因为当时并没有细细审视，只是清晰记得那个孩子的眼睛，居然会透露出那种无比绝望恐惧的眼神!我从来都没有见过这种眼神，我当时对此的解释是：做贼心虚。
我把手伸进他的桌子时他用手轻轻地挡了一下，又迟疑着慢慢缩回，小脸涨得通红。
这种不恭敬使我更加反感。
怎么，上课时间摆弄这种东西还有理了?
没，没有，是在课下……
不要强调理由，什么时候也不行，学校是个学习的地方，不是来玩的!
是别人送我的……
看着我随便地揉搓着那幅画，他小声地哀求道：“老师，请您小心点好不好?”从来没有学生敢这样“顶撞”我。我把那张已经有些皱褶的画摔到他的怀里，霸道的愤怒在一霎间爆发出来：“你给我滚出教室!”当时冲口而出的这句话，至今使我的心无法宁静，常常在夜深人静的时候隐隐作痛，可是当时，这个孩子也许比我还要伤心，他捧起那张画，用噙满泪水的眼睛看着我，咬住了自己苍白的嘴唇，沉默地一步一步地走出了教室。
老师，您不知道，今天是他12岁的生日，他的同桌小声地告诉我。
那幅画是他爸爸今天一大早来学校送给他的，他爸爸和他妈妈刚刚离婚了。
又有孩子说，他可想他爸了，可是他妈不许他们见面……
孩子们的七嘴八舌，晴天霹雳一样让我震惊。心开始像被揪起来一样地疼。我急忙赶出教室，孩子瘦弱的身影已经看不到了。很久没有去疼惜什么关心什么了，只是在自怨自艾的阴影里过日子，此刻，悔恨像把尖刀，搅着我麻木已久的灵魂。
那个孩子后来不肯再来学校，我几次找到他家，他都躲着决不见我。他憔悴的自顾不暇的母亲，冷漠地说，随孩子，反正家里也交不上学费。
他就这样辍学了，据他的同学说，看见他帮他的母亲一起卖冰棍。他瘦得脸尖尖的，只剩下一双冰冷呆滞的大眼睛。他似乎并不想遇到熟人，同学喊他时，也爱理不理的。
一个12岁的少年，他敢为了父亲的礼物和一向敬若神明的老师顶嘴，那时他还有一颗多么渴望爱的柔软的心啊。是我的无知和莽撞一手毁了他，我打破的是他对爱的憧憬。他是那样的无助，他不懂得怎样去拒绝生命中别人带给他的伤害，只有选择冷漠和逃避。
我也在不久后被调去县城，可是，很长一段时间，他都在我的心里站着，站成一把匕首，雪亮地插在我的良心上。至今，他柔弱无助的身影，仍在无声中鞭笞着我，沉闷有力地谴责着我曾经的偏执和鲁莽。
真的，对不起，孩子……
